EZ Ration Processors

Welcome to the EZ Ration Processor!

Pickup Pulled Computer Controlled EZ Ration Processors

On the right floor chain, we have a pretty good quality alfalfa bale, costing $170 a ton. On the left floor chain, we have a $65 a ton Cornstalk bale.

We are blending these 1/3 to 2/3. The Cornstalk floor chain is set on 100% and the Alfalfa floor chain is set on 50%.

If we met all the dry matter requirements in strait alfalfa it would be a big overkill, both cost wise and nutritionally. If we were to feed just the cornstalks, the cows (or bulls in this case) would probably slowly starve to death, or at the very least go backwards on condition, but the blend of 1/3 to 2/3 is going to be considerably better and it will create and average per ton feed cost of $100 (which is also a lot better).

You can see in the windrow we have a pretty good blend of Alfalfa and Cornstalks and in a petty desirable particle size or stem length. Nutritional science will tell you that you can reduce your tonnage requirements by 25% to 30% if you process it similar to this and I can testify to the fact that we have repeatably seen it on our ranch that you will reduce the amount you have to feed by 25% to 30% when you process it.

When you reduce your tonnage cost from $170 to $100 by blending 1/3 $100 Alfalfa to 2/3 $65 Cornstalks and then reduce that tonnage requirement by another 25% to 30% by processing it, that is over a 50% reduction in your feed cost dollar. That is a pretty big deal and now it can all be down with an EZ Ration Processor that you can pull with your Pickup.

This is a hot new item. We are trying to get all the information on it up as soon as possible. We have done some pretty cool things that are patented and patent pending, allowing us to power this new Pickup Pull EZ Ration Processor with a small, fuel injected, computer-controlled, Honda Motor. It is very affordable and the awesome thing is you can hook on to it with your pickup and go feed the cows. Plus enjoy the feed cost saving benefits of our bigger truck mounted and tractor pull EZ Ration Processor models.(you can click on the small picture to the left to see a larger view of it)
Pickup Pulled EZ Ration Processor has the same patent ability to blend Pickup Pulled EZ Ration Processor has the same patent ability to blend
This Pickup Pulled EZ Ration Processor has the same patent ability as our big truck mounted and tractor pull EZ Ration Processors, that is the patented ability to blend two different types of roughage in an desired ratio to create a cost efficient, nutritionally balance, mix of roughage and all in the proper partial size. We are typically seeing a decrease in the winter feed cost of anywhere from 30% to over 50% by processing and blending roughages in varying ratios, plus the livestock do better. It is a true win win. For example: processing and blending a few pounds of alfalfa with several pounds, of almost any other cheap roughage available, can knock a home run both cost wise and nutritionally. Check out our online Ration Calculator under the Ration Calculator Tab. Put in your own hay test or play with the ones in already in it and see how much you could save. The engine control screen The engine control screen
After touching the green key and starting the engine this is the what the engine control screen looks like. The RPM gauge show the current RPMs of the motor and the oil temperature gauge depict the current oil temperature. The HP (or Horsepower) available number and graph indicates how much horsepower is still available that is not currently being used and the current voltage available in the battery is depicted by the v# in the battery icon space. Touching the engine warm up tab will speed the motor up to warm the hydraulic fluid up quicker during cold weather. Touching the red key will kill the motor. Touching the menu tab takes you to the menu. Touching the operation tab take you directly to the EZ Ration Processor operation control screen. The % number indicates the knife drum speed touching the + & - buttons speed them up or slow them down and the psi # indicates the amount of hydraulic pressure currently required to power them. Touching the Left and Right Floor power button turns them on and when on they turn green. The % number indicates the Floor speed touching the + & - buttons speed them up or slow them down and the psi # indicates the amount of hydraulic pressure currently required to power them. Varying the floor speeds allows the producer to create varying blends of the hay or feed on the left floor chain with the hay or feed on the right floor chain. More information about the EZ Ration Processor operation control screen More information about the EZ Ration Processor operation control screen
This is more information about the EZ Ration Processor operation control screen. The Knife PSI Control Floor tab is green when on and red when off. When it is activated, and the Hydraulic PSI required to turn the knives is excessively high indicating the knife drums are about to stall out the floors are paused which stops additional force by the hay being exerted on the knifes. Since the additional force was stopped while the knives were still turning as they continue turning and chopping there is less, and less force being exerted on the knives and they quickly regain their speed and torque. As they regain speed and torque the PSI required to turn them goes down and when it reaches a predetermined lower amount the floor start moving forward and again and continue processing the hay. This usually all happen within milliseconds and many times can almost be undetectable by the naked eye watching the feed output. However, the control screen does indicate when it is happening. This screen is where the operator can set or adjust the knife pressure automatic floor controls. Operator can adjust what pressure setting the floors will be stopped at and what lower pressure setting they will restart at. The operator can also adjust the off and on timing in milliseconds to eliminate an arbitrary millisecond spikes setting it off or restarting it sooner than desired. Note: we are dealing in milliseconds sometimes undetectable by the naked eye (you can click on the small picture to the left to see a larger view of it)
